The Marble Restoration Company was contracted by The World Meeting of Families and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to take care of their stone restoration work in preparation for the Mass that Pope Francis will be holding at The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul during the Papal visit.

What started out as a restoration of the Crucifixion Statue has turned into a much larger project once our talented crew showed what they could do.  As we walked the path that the Pontiff will be taking, TMRC and the organizers of the event realized that there was much more work to be done on the 150-year-old stone; the work included repairing holes in the marble walls, repairing chips on the marble steps, repairing cracks and holes on the marble thresholds and cleaning the exterior granite steps.  We were very honored to be awarded this work and are proud of our staff for their small but excellent contribution to this wonderful event!
