One of the most common inquiries The Marble Restoration Company receives is for a crack repair along the front or back edge of the sink.  This area is particularly susceptible to cracking as it is much more narrow than the large slabs you see on other parts of the counter.  Our most recent Case Study customer had severe cracking along the front edge of his bathroom vanity, and like many others, he did not want the mess or expense of replacing the marble.

When our crew is hired for a crack repair, the goal is to make the cracks blend with the stone, making them as invisible as possible.  We are able to make cracks look like natural veining or blend in with the base color of the stone.  In this instance, because the stone was cracked in multiple directions, we chose to use the base color of the stone for our color match.

After cleaning out each crack to prep it for repair, we filled it with our 2-part color-matched epoxy, sanded it down to ensure the fill was level with the rest of the stone, and blended it with the surrounding area.  Given how severe the cracking was, the repairs blend quite well!
