Did you know that cleaning marble or granite counters with a pH-neutral cleaner or water is all you need for everyday cleaning?  When cleaning your marble or granite, be sure to avoid using general cleaners containing acid, vinegar, bleach, ammonia, or other abrasive ingredients to help prevent etches on your stone.  We also recommend avoiding cleaning products that contain any type of polish, wax or cream.  These additives can look great when the stone is first cleaned, but can leave a film on your stone’s surface that can be easily smudged.  Additionally, use a soft cloth (not a scouring pad) when cleaning to avoid scratching the surface of your marble or granite.

Even with regular cleaning your marble or granite will look a bit worn over time, and you will periodically need to have your stone professionally cleaned, restored, and sealed to bring it back to life.  The Marble Restoration Company team can take care of all of your stone care needs when your stone has begun to show wear-and-tear.
